| In the beginning of membership camping and buying Travel Inn Resort, never did I realize what a great organization it would turn out to be. Today, K/M Resorts of America, with great places for our members to go camping, I am extremely proud of our company and its growth, as all of our members should be. If you researched the campground industry, there are a lot of companies that have not made it. Why, management, keeping the members happy, building more resorts and growing with the industry. When I first bought Travel Inn resort in 1986, and started getting it ready to be a Coast to Coast park, there were lots of people waiting to become members. I remember when Coast to Coast and the state approved us, it was in August of 1987, I signed up about 100 people waiting for the park to be approved, what a wonderful day. Some of those same people are still members and remember it. After that, in 1989, we bought Ocean Mist, it was a mess. Kevin McLeod, Mike McLeod and Kraig McLeod all remember working very hard to make it a campground, Bruce Bjorkman and Brad Lansing were also working for me then. When we opened, Bob Scott was selling for us, what a day...200 memberships the first year. As time went on, Kevin McLeod built a bridge, then we developed sites on the ocean. Diamond Point was purchased in 1992, we only had 33 sites at that time and we went to work on it, today it is a very popular camping resort. K/M added a resort in Eastern Washington at Old American Kampground, on the Pend Oreille River and we opened up a new market in Eastern Washington. Then we went to another river, the Columbia River in Western Washington and a very popular fishing campground called Columbia Shores, six miles from the bridge going into Oregon. |

Along came Maple Grove Resort, in Randel with 175 sites, a golf course and many other activities, this campground is one the most popular in the state. After that we went up north and added Beachwood Resort on 80 acres, overlooking Birch Bay, one of the great crabbing areas in the state. This was a home run for K/M Resorts. Next place was Spokane, we bought Yogi Bear, another 5 star resort for our members, this made eight resorts, in one state for our members to enjoy and never have to worry about where to go. I am so happy my daughter Kelli Abercrombie joined us as our marketing manager, and a partner in the corporation. Kevin is the president of K/M Resort, Mike is President of Sound Pacific corporation, which owns Beachwood Resort. Along with Kevin, Mike and Kelli is Bruce Bjorkman, who has been with me since 1988. Bruce is our general manager...his sister Jackie, my niece is our Fife sales manager they are a great asset. Scott Abercrombie, Kelli’s husband is our manager of operations.
I could go on all day however not to bore anyone, K/M Resorts has come a long way. Our corporate office in Fife adds a solid addition to our company. Our product and our membership gives you our members the best money can buy, no other company in the United States gives you as much flexibility as K/M does. I can say I am proud of what K/M has done and how far it has come. It has been accomplished with a great staff ...great leadership and great members......Douglas J McLeod

Attention All K/M Members
Travel Inn will be selling long term leased lots. This portion of Travel Inn will be called Maple Wood Campground. These lots are similar to the leased lots we have at Diamond Point in Sequim.
There will be 60 lots for sale. You can stay up to 270 days per year. All the lots will have full hook-ups and some of these will have views. The lot sizes are 30’X60’. The completion date will be the first part of May 2007.
